The client: REDSOFA

REDSOFA has been connecting the finest talent to amazing opportunities in the creative industry since 2009. Operating across Europe they have grown to become more than just a recruitment consultancy, they are a dedicated team that celebrates, supports and inspires the creative industry talent.

The challenge

REDSOFA had evolved and their aspiration was no longer to be simply a recruitment consultancy, but to become a lifestyle brand - destination for the creative industries and a place for creative talent to learn and grow (as well as finding that perfect role).

A new website would be needed not only to reflect this change, but to enable REDSOFA to expand their offering by providing additional services through their site in the future.

With a new 3rd party system being implemented to streamline the recruitment process internally, the website would need to integrate seamlessly, accelerating their workflows.

And with an eye to the future, the new site would need to be built with a solid foundation allowing the new services to be integrated with ease at a future date.

The solution

Before focusing on the new website and its functionality, we held workshops with the business owners and recruiters to really understand both their immediate needs and future ambitions.

We created a set of user stories for both the launch site and future ambitions, identifying internal and external-facing functionality and the systems which would be needed to deliver them.

We recommended a robust and flexible composable technical architecture and developed a technology roadmap to deliver on the businesses goals and the user functionality envisaged for the site’s experience over time.

REDSOFA had appointed an agency to develop the visual identity, and we worked closely with them to bring that to life and to ensure the expanded user needs would be fully met.

The site was then developed to be fully responsive, meet accessibility standards, and offer complete editorial control via the Headless CMS.

Integrations with REDSOFA’s new backend tools ensured new openings could be posted on the site with ease, and applicants could be processed with speed.

The resultant site allows talent to not just find the best opportunities, but to learn from their peers.

From the very first meeting Jamie and the team really got under the skin of our strategy. There's levels to these things, whilst the final product was far from cheap the satisfaction in the excellence delivered – well, it’s money well spent.

The outcome

This was a collaborative project, the creative rebrand was created by StudioGruhl and we made the magic happen by bringing it to life! The REDSOFA team is delighted with the end result and has been inundated with positive feedback.

Plus, within weeks of being live, the website started winning awards. Watch this space!
