Music discovery in the third dimension

The situation

Existing at the intersection of Interactive, Film and Music, SXSW provided the perfect platform for TheTin to showcase what’s possible in VR with the backing of the UK’s Department for International Trade. We wanted to develop a new, personal way of experiencing music choices.

The solution

Using Spotify’s API, we created a new VR interface to allow users to explore music more immersively, creating a personal journey through related artists, linked to their existing preferences and user accounts. The project was showcased by Mozilla’s A-Frame division as best use of their tech.
